Original Summary

Path of Exile features a town-management mechanic (Kingsmarch) where players must feed thousands of items into a disenchanter to produce "Thaumaturgic Dust" for shipping quotas. The problem: Finding which items yield the best dust per currency requires constantly cross-referencing fluctuating market data against item base tiers. On top of that, an in-game auction tax ("Faustus gold fee") makes seemingly cheap items drain player funds. I built an interactive calculator to solve both: https://poedustcalculator.app What it does Real-Time Efficiency Rankings : Evaluates 1,300+ unique items live, sorting by dust yielded per currency spent. Customizable Gold Tax Math : Allows players to set their personal valuation of in-game gold to recalculate the true total cost of each trade. Single-Item Simulator : Lets users test custom item stats (quality multipliers, catalysts, item level, and influence) to predict exact dust yields before buying or selling. URL State Sync : All filters, sorting, and user-defined rates persist directly in the URL parameters for instant sharing. Everything runs entirely in the browser with sub-millisecond filtering and sorting across the full dataset. Completely free to use, no registration or account required: https://poedustcalculator.app Would love feedback on the UX and data presentation! If you're a gamer or builder, how would you improve the layout? submitted by /u/Bulky_Garlic [link] [comments]
