Hi! I kept downloading 2-hour videos just to save a 30–40 second clip, so I ended up building a small app for it. You paste a video link, scrub through it directly in the app and select the part(s) you want. It only downloads what’s needed for those clips instead of grabbing the whole video first. You can export multiple clips separately or merge them into one video. MP3 export and subtitles are also supported. It’s free, no ads, no account, and available for macOS, Windows and Linux. It uses yt-dlp and ffmpeg under the hood, so nothing extra needs to be installed. One note for macOS: the app isn’t signed with a paid Apple Developer certificate yet, so on first launch you’ll need to allow it under Privacy & Security.
