So I wanted to try building something that doesn't depend on the AI trend. My guess is that it could even be an advantage: fewer moving parts, more predictable results, and nothing that makes things up in front of your customers. It's called Guestate. It gives Airbnb hosts one QR code that shows guests the Wi-Fi, check-out steps and the host's favourite local places. Hosts can add affiliate links to those places and earn a commission when guests book through them, kind of a new income stream for hosts. Is the affiliate-earnings angle convincing, or does it feel gimmicky? Is "no AI" actually a selling point, or does nobody care?
