Original Summary
I run a small app (Contextify, it scores short-form video hooks) and couldn't justify $1k+ for a promo video, so I built one in code. How it's made: • Remotion renders React components to video at 1080×1920, 60fps • three.js for the 3D metal logo; lights-out ending with a reflective material • The app UI is rebuilt as React components , not screen recordings, so the camera can zoom right into a button and the text stays razor sharp • The soundtrack is synthesized in Node (drums, pads, clicks) from the same timeline file as the animation, so every pop and tap lands exactly on the beat Hardest part: extreme close-ups. Scaling a screenshot up turns it to mush, so every component is laid out at its final on-screen size instead. Happy to answer questions about the pipeline. submitted by /u/Glad_Cantaloupe_6739 [link] [comments]
