Original Summary
I've tried to "get consistent" more times than I can count. It always went the same way. I'd write down what I was going to do that day, walk, drink a certain amount of water, the usual stuff, and within a week the list was gone. What I actually wanted was pretty small: some order in my day, a reminder, a goal, and that little feeling of getting something done when you tap it off. So I built it for myself. I'm a solo dev from Croatia and the app is called Mosaik. How it works: every day you finish your habits, you get a piece of sea glass. After 66 days the pieces turn into a picture you couldn't see at the start. If you miss a day, nothing resets. The picture just waits for you. For me that was the whole point, because every time I lost a streak in the past, I quit. I've used it every day for about two months now. My list is short: walking and water. Water fills in by itself, since my bottle syncs to Apple Health and Mosaik reads it from there. My morning routine is a chain of habits linked together, so when I finish one, the app points me to the next one and I just go down the line in order. That part turned out to be the most useful thing I built. It's iPhone only for now (Android is coming). Free for 3 habits, and there's a Plus subscription with a 7-day trial on the yearly plan. https://apps.apple.com/app/apple-store/id6775159539?pt=120396530&ct=reddit\_sideproject&mt=8 Two things I'd love feedback on: - Does "a missed day never resets anything" make you trust a habit app more, or does it sound too soft? - If you open it, how does the first minute feel? I've rewritten onboarding a few times. Happy to answer anything about how it's built. submitted by /u/Jealous-Asparagus518 [link] [comments]
