I kept losing hours to short-form video, but every blocker I tried nuked the entire app. I still wanted Instagram DMs and regular YouTube videos, just not the infinite scroll. So I made UnRot . It uses Android's Accessibility service to detect when a Reels/Shorts/TikTok feed is on screen and blocks just that part. What it does: Block All: instantly blocks Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, FB Reels Daily Limit: set a budget (say 20 min), after which it blocks for the day Live Timer: a small overlay showing how long you've been scrolling Interval mode: scheduled use/break windows Pause: 5-minute override when you genuinely need it Usage stats per platform No ads, no account needed. The Accessibility permission is only used to detect the short-video screens, and nothing leaves your phone.
