outbid.lol had a simple idea: pay to be the name at the top. I liked it, but paying and then losing the spot felt bad, so I built my own version around one rule: losing costs you nothing . How it works There is one spot, the throne. Whoever holds it gets their name, link and a one-line pitch on the front page, and every click that comes with it. The price is a fixed public ladder, not a bid. It starts at $1.00 and climbs one step with every claim (10¢ steps at first, bigger later). The button always shows exactly what you pay. What you pay is locked on the throne. The moment someone takes it from you, every cent comes back to your wallet, ready to spend again. You get an email or a push notification when it happens, so you can take it straight back. The only thing you lose is the view. Everything is on the record Every reign gets its own permanent page (who held it, for how long, what they paid, who took it). The Chronicle lists all of them, and the Ledger page shows the site's money in public: cash in, credits sold, credits in wallets, credits sitting on the throne. Credits are dollars (every dollar buys a dollar of credits), they never expire and never cash out. Sales are final, with the usual exceptions.
