Original Summary

This is kind of embarrassing but here goes. Last year I was running three projects solo. Client work, a security tool, and a bunch of ideas I never had time for. I was "productive." I had a to-do app, Google Calendar, Notion, a habit tracker, a Pomodoro timer, and a notes app I used for everything else. Then on [date] my [dad] called me at 9pm. Not angry, just quiet. "It's okay, I know you're busy." It was his birthday. I'd written it down. In Notion. Which I hadn't opened in two weeks because my tasks lived in Todoist and my meetings lived in Calendar and I was too tired to check a sixth place. I sat there for a while after that call. Not because I forgot a date, but because I realized my whole system was built so that the important stuff could fall through the cracks between apps. That weekend I started building something for myself. One screen. Everything that matters today, in one place. And one weird feature I really needed: something that notices when I keep pushing the same thing to tomorrow and says it out loud. I called it the procrastination detector, half as a joke. I showed it to a couple of friends. They asked for access. Their friends asked. This week it passed 1,000 users, with zero ads. It's called DayriOS. I'm the solo dev, still fixing things most nights. I'm not posting this to say "download my app." I'm posting because I'm curious if anyone else has felt that. Having all the tools and still dropping the ball on what actually matters. How do you deal with it? submitted by /u/Responsible_Let_4227 [link] [comments]
