Original Summary

I’ve been hesitant to post this here because I don’t want this to come across as another “I built a SaaS, roast my landing page” post. I’m a developer, but I’m also the parent of a high school athlete, and Recruit My Game came out of watching the college recruiting process up close. If you haven’t had a kid go through it, it’s hard to explain how much guessing is involved. You’re emailing coaches and wondering whether anyone is reading the emails. You’re paying for showcases and ID camps without really knowing whether a school has any need for your child’s position. You’re trying to understand which level is realistic. You’re looking at rosters, graduation years, transfers, academics, coaching changes, and whatever other information you can piece together. And meanwhile there are a lot of companies willing to charge families thousands of dollars to “help.” I kept thinking that there had to be a better way to use data, there has to be a way not take rake parents across the coals with like 2k in fees. I started building Recruit My Game last July. The first version was much more traditional: give an athlete one place for their profile, film, schedule, academics, awards, testimonials, and recruiting information. But as I lived through the recruiting process myself, the problem I wanted to solve changed. I realized that athletes don’t necessarily need another place to be “seen.” They need better information about where they actually have an opportunity . I partnered with a company called Tosch.ai and this month we launched a major part of what I’ve been working toward: College Insights. Instead of just showing an athlete a school, we’re starting to help them understand things like the roster, positional depth, incoming and outgoing players, transfer activity, coaching stability, academics, and other signals that can help a family decide whether pursuing that program actually makes sense. The goal is not to tell a 16-year-old, “You can or can’t play here.” It’s to give that athlete and their parents enough information to make a smarter decision about where to spend their time, money, and energy. I built the application myself. This isn’t a white-labeled recruiting product or something I outsourced and put a logo on. I’ve spent a ridiculous number of hours working through the product, architecture, data, UX, integrations, testing, and all of the things that come with building a real SaaS product. We currently have about 400 users. We haven’t spent money on advertising yet, and the College Insights portion of the product only launched this month, so I consider us very early. That’s why I’m posting here. I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from other SaaS founders and developers on recruitmygame.com . I’m particularly interested in what you think when you first land on it: Does it make sense what the product actually does? Does the College Insights concept feel valuable, or am I too close to the problem? Is there something about the positioning or onboarding
