I grew up speaking Shona and learned Ndebele at school, but I'm still not fluent in either. Taking the IELTS English test showed me why: it tests listening, reading, writing and speaking separately, and I'd only ever practised understanding. So I built FLUXA , a flashcard app where a card can be more than text: 🎧 your own audio recordings 📷 photos of real signs, menus and pages ▶️ a YouTube clip, cut to the exact moment you need ✏️ plain text, for words and prompts Why it might be useful to you: Free and open source. No account, no ads. Offline. Everything stays on your device. About 8,700 languages and their dialects. Shona and Ndebele included.
