Original Summary
Freelance devs and small teams, how are you handling client previews these days? I've got into the habit of giving people a live version before anything touches production because getting feedback from an actual URL is way easier than screenshots, but the annoying part is that I end up accumulating staging apps that spend 95% of their life doing absolutely nothing. Sometimes the client checks it twice that week. Sometimes nobody opens it for ten days and then suddenly I get a message at 11pm asking about a button. I know branch previews solve a lot of this workflow-wise, but I'm more curious about cost and cleanup. Do you leave every environment alive until the project is done, manually kill them or use something that tears them down with the branch? Especially interested in setups from people juggling several small projects at once because individually these environments are nothing, but the clutter adds up fast. submitted by /u/Jaystyless [link] [comments]
