i spent $200 (unnecessarily) building a tool where it could automatically find products from ebay or ur website, transform them into Pinterest-ready pins, route them to the correct board (or create one when needed with optimized description), schedule and publish them, and then monitor their links so if the product ever expires it let's me know and offer quick solutions so I don't end up losing a potential buying customer, especially if that pin is gaining a lot of attention. now building this tool quite took me through some trials and tribulations. i wasnt originally trying to build a "SaaS" i just wanted to get back into posting affiliate products on Pinterest, but i genuinely did not feel like finding products, making pins, creating boards, writing descriptions, scheduling everything and constantly checking if the products were still working. years ago i actually built a C# desktop tool that automated a lot of it for me, but it was so unreliable and had so many errors (probably because i coded it haha) that i could never stay consistent with it. so this time i wanted something i could basically configure once and never have to touch it again. i started building Vealous (idk why i named it after my own reddit name💀) around August 25. The idea was simple: connect Pinterest + ur website or eBay, choose what type of products you want to focus on, choose how your Pins should look, your boards and posting pace, then let Autopilot handle the repetitive stuff. i ended up spending around $200 building it with Base44 bcuz i was burning thru my credits, before realizing i could just connect my ChatGPT directly to the project instead and make changes from there😭 and it actually worked better for me because ChatGPT already had all the context from everything we had discussed about the app, so i didnt have to explain how everything was supposed to work every single time. after a month of fixing, polishing, and making sure its reliable and secure, i realized there are probably other people who also want to do Pinterest without actually spending all day doing Pinterest, so i figured i might as well launch it and let other people use it too! im officially launching vealous.com today, and it comes with a free plan with no card required for those who wants to see how the system works. it's been so good to me lately, but im still mad about that $200 i threw at it!! also any feedback would be much appreciated :)   submitted by   /u/TurboSlayer4 [link]   [comments]
