Original Summary
I'm part of the team behind Hawzu, and wanted to share it here since this feels like the right place for an honest "why we built this" post rather than a pitch. The short version: every test management tool we tried before building this treated test cases, requirements, and defects as separate things loosely wired together — usually with Jira duct-taped on for the defect-tracking part. You'd run a thousand tests and still not really be able to answer "are we actually ready to ship" without pinging three people and checking two different tools. So Hawzu ties requirements → test cases → executions → defects into one connected system, with a release-readiness score that's deliberately just arithmetic, not an AI guess — we made a point of keeping that number reproducible (same release, same score, every time) because in QA a number you can't trust twice is worse than no number. Still early — free plan is the full product (not a stripped-down tier), no card needed if anyone wants to poke around: hawzu.com Genuinely interested in feedback, especially from anyone who's fought with TestRail/Zephyr/Xray before and has opinions on what actually matters vs. what we think matters. submitted by /u/tejas_anto_a [link] [comments]
