Hi r/SideProject ! Some of you may remember my first post about it here ([ link ]). More than 30 of you signed up. But when I checked what happened next, almost nobody got to a first result. Before you saw anything, you had to sign up with a data provider, sign up with an AI provider, and paste two API keys into the app. That was two extra sign-ups before any value, and most people stopped there. I fixed that, and the details are below. First, what the product is, for everyone who is new. The problem : finding your first customers online takes hours. You search Reddit for a keyword, open 50 threads, and find 2 people who really have the problem. The rest only used the same words. Say you build invoicing software. A post that mentions "invoice" is often a freelancer who is angry at a client who didn't pay. The post you want says "I spend every Friday making invoices in Word. What do you use?" What SignalScout does: You describe what you sell, who buys it and what problem it solves. It searches Reddit, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. An AI model reads each post and scores it on three things: does the problem match, does the person match your customer, and do they want to buy now. You get an inbox of possible customers, and each one shows why it got its score. You read three lines and decide in seconds. It never posts anything. It can write a reply draft, but you decide whether to reply, and you post it yourself. What changed since the first post: The hosted version needs no keys now. The API costs are included. Sign up, describe your product, and the matches come in. There is a 7-day trial with no card. If you signed up last time, I restarted your trial and sent you an email. There is a docs site now, docs.signalscout.run , and the Docker image runs on ARM too. Self-host it for free: One docker compose up. No build, no Node, no git. About 1 GB of RAM. It runs on Intel and ARM, so a cheap VPS works. You bring your own API keys and pay the providers directly. A Reddit post costs about $0.001 to fetch and about $0.001 to score. No telemetry. Your data stays in your own database. Stack: TypeScript, Fastify, React + Vite, and Postgres for everything: data, job queue and vectors. I'd like honest feedback.
