I wanted to get some momentum going, so I thought I'd share a little project I made. I was usually the one paying first, then following up a few days later to ask everyone for their share, which got awkward when we hadn't split the bill evenly. I started with a shared spreadsheet where everyone could claim what they ordered. LazySplit is that idea without the spreadsheet. You can scan a receipt or enter it by hand, then share one link so everyone can claim their items. No download or account needed to join, and if someone won't open the link, you can mark their items for them.
