Original Summary
A lot of “client management” tools aren’t built for how freelancers actually close a job. They sell you a suite: CRM, pipeline, portal, calendar. Then they hold the client’s money and take a cut of the invoice. Your client has to create an account. If you’re in India, UPI is often an afterthought and card payouts take days. I wanted something narrower on purpose. So I built Client Kit. What it does: Proposal, signature, and deposit on one link Money goes to your UPI or your own payment link, not through us No cut of the job payment Client never needs an account You only pay for send limits (Free, then Founder $9 / Solo $12 / Busy $29). Same features either way. What it is not: CRM, booking, time tracking, or holding funds. If you need those, use a suite. How it works on the freelancer side Sign up and set payout (UPI VPA/QR in India, or a hosted PayPal/Stripe/Razorpay/etc. URL). Write the job: scope, line items, deposit, due date. Send one private link (email or WhatsApp). Watch status: sent, viewed, signed, then paid. Confirm when the money lands. Download the signed PDF. How it works on the client side Open the link. No signup. Read the proposal. Type their name, confirm, sign. Pay you directly (UPI QR or your payment page). They can also tap “I’ve paid” with an optional reference so you’re not chasing them. Done. They’re not “users” of Client Kit. They’re just closing the job. You pay Client Kit only if you want higher send caps. Your client pays you. We never sit in the middle of the job money. Live v1 Demo (fake name, sign, see pay) Happy to take feedback, especially from freelancers in India who send work over WhatsApp. submitted by /u/letsrediit [link] [comments]
