Original Summary
I want to start generating leads on LinkedIn for accounting services but I genuinely do not know where to begin and I would love advice from people who have actually done this rather than just read about it. Here is where I am stuck. I know the theory build your profile post content connect with potential clients reach out with a pitch. But how does it actually work in practice especially as a solo person with no big brand behind them? Do I need to build a personal brand first and post consistently for months before anyone takes me seriously? Or can I start reaching out cold right now with a good profile and a clear message and actually get responses? I am currently solo and do not have a registered business yet although I am considering launching one down the line. I am good at communication and I believe I can close once I am in a conversation. I have also done something similar in the past for a client when I was younger so I am not completely new to the idea of outreach and sales. I have also seen people recommend hiring a lead generation agency but I am not sure if that makes sense at my stage or if I would just be paying for something I could do myself with the right guidance. A few specific questions I have Is it better to build the personal brand first or start outreach immediately? How long does it realistically take to start seeing results? What kind of content actually works for accountants and bookkeepers on LinkedIn? And is going solo without a registered business a disadvantage when reaching out to potential clients? Would really appreciate honest practical advice from people who have navigated this. submitted by /u/AccountantShinobu [link] [comments]
