I started thinking about why most online directories feel so similar. You usually get a list, some logos, a search box, and that's about it. Then I came across SaaSBoard and liked the idea of turning a directory into something visual, where the listings actually have a physical place on a board. That got me thinking: what if the same idea worked beyond SaaS? So I built PixelNiches. Instead of one giant directory, each niche gets its own board. AI, AI Agents, Automation, Creator Tools, and more. Businesses, products, and creators can claim a spot on the board and use it to get discovered. The concept was definitely inspired by SaaSBoard, but I wanted to see what it would look like as a broader directory built around individual niches. It's still very early and there is plenty I want to improve, but the core idea is live.
