I’ve always found it weird how much music we just forget. You find a song, play it constantly for two weeks, save it, and a year later it’s buried underneath hundreds of other songs. I also never felt like sharing a playlist really showed someone your music taste. It usually represents one mood or phase, while Spotify Blend still feels like an algorithm deciding what two people have in common. So I built Spotlight . It turns your saved music into an infinite canvas you can move around and explore like a map. You can rediscover old songs, find new music around songs you already like, explore a friend’s library, or combine two usernames to blend both libraries together. For example: spotlight.jmanya.com/name1-name2 I’ve built quite a few projects over the years, but this is probably the first one I’ve found myself constantly opening just to use. Spent a ridiculous amount of time on the little interactions and animations too.
