So, I spend my evenings on Reddit, and it seems like every day, someone's complaining that their SaaS isn't making money or has no users. The thing is, most of these products are built using vibecoding for markets that are already super crowded. You know the ones: Apps for scheduling posts. Apps for invoicing. Social media clones of some kind. Tools made specifically for hunting leads on Reddit. Tools to validate ideas. And so on. Seriously, you need to move beyond these kinds of ideas and instead, focus on how to actually get your product in front of people. I even built a B2B tool myself, one that allowed people to do Slack huddles right inside their own applications. I actually shut it down today, though. My big problem was I didn't have enough B2B connections, which made it really hard to find potential pilot users. So, instead of pouring more time into it, I decided to put it on hold for now. I'm saving it for later. My advice is to first make sure your tech skills are really good. Learn figma, UX skills that can make a difference for your product, tech skills to implement features without bugs. If your product doesn't look polished and professional, people won't trust it. Also, build a strong online presence by creating content, either on X or YouTube. I'm actually thinking about starting something on YouTube myself. I've built several SaaS products that never made any money, but that experience could be really useful for tutorials for others trying similar products, like implementing credit based subscriptions using stripe, adding redis for rate limiting, supabase realtime etc. And who knows, depending on what the audience wants, I might build something new. But until then, I'm taking a break. It's going to take some time to really find a niche and build an audience. Until that happens, I'm completely stopping any half-finished projects.
