I've always liked the GitHub contribution graph, but green squares never really made me feel anything. So I built a little side project that turns them into a garden. How it works: • Each day becomes a plot of land. No commits = bare soil, a few = grass, more = a bush, a big day = a tree • The seasons follow the real ones. I'm in the southern hemisphere, so June to August turned into a snowy pine forest, and now it's spring and everything is starting to bloom • The last 7 days show up as plants you can watch grow • There's XP, levels and streaks (my longest so far is 33 days) The weirdest side effect: I actually care about not leaving a patch of dirt in the middle of my week now. Still early and rough around the edges.
