I kept installing RSS readers, following everything I cared about, then avoiding them once the unread badge reached hundreds. I didn't want a better inbox; I wanted a place to read. So I built Gather. Browse is a stream of everything you follow, newest first, with no unread count. Keep up is a smaller set of sources you pick, and only those track what you haven't read. If several outlets cover the same story, Gather groups them into one card. It also has an article reader with the publisher's page one tap away, an offline queue, OPML import/export, and a layout for tablets and foldables that puts feed and article side by side. No account required. I underestimated how much work it would take to make that layout feel good without losing the feed on smaller screens.
