Original Summary
Over the last year-ish I’ve sent 592,318 cold emails across a bunch of different campaigns. Here are the numbers: 592,318 emails sent 13,696 replies 2.3% overall reply rate 2,590 high-intent leads 881 meetings booked The biggest lesson from sending this much email is probably the opposite of what I expected: More volume doesn’t fix bad outbound. If your list sucks, sending 100k emails instead of 10k just means you annoy 10x more people. Most of the improvements I saw came from everything that happens before hitting send: better ICP filtering better lead data email verification keeping sending infrastructure healthy finding an actual reason to contact each person and filtering people out when there wasn’t one At this point I’m actually more interested in who NOT to email than finding another 100k prospects. I’ve also used a bunch of different tools while doing this. Clay is probably the most flexible if you want to build custom enrichment/research workflows. They’ve gone pretty deep into data, signals and GTM automation. Instantly has been really solid for the actual cold email side, especially managing sending accounts, warmup and campaigns at scale. These days I mostly run the workflow through Getlead , because I wanted something more end-to-end instead of connecting a bunch of pieces: website → ICP → leads → research → qualification → personalization → send After running campaigns at this volume, the thing I wanted most was basically a system that could take a website and figure out: who should we contact, why should we contact them, and is this lead even worth sending an email to? That’s what I’m using now: https://getle.ad/ai-gtm Still testing a lot of this, but happy to share the mailbox setup, sending limits, targeting or campaign structure behind the 592k if anyone is interested. submitted by /u/adgrow [link] [comments]
