They were afraid to speak against the traitor propaganda which quickly filled all of the information space. They were afraid to be seen as &quot;speciesists&quot;.<p>Some chose to lie to themselves that &quot;someone will find a way around this&quot;. Or that &quot;maybe aliens really are going to be good for us&quot;. Some of the cowards remembered the history and knew that most of the time, when one country invaded another, the victims responded by defending themselves instead of saying &quot;it&#x27;s just a new reality, I need to accept it.&quot;<p>But this time, after seeing that some of the received solutions were very advanced, they quickly concluded no defense is possible.<p>For the first time in the history, there seemed to be nobody who entertained even for a moment the idea that maybe there is a way for humans as a species to advance themselves and try to do something against the seemingly impending doom.<p>There were no heroes who could lead the people.<p>The most vocal resistance was just producing videos against the traitors (to farm some likes), or reminding everyone that they had predicted this decades ago.<p>So, in this scenario: would you be a coward or a traitor?
