Original Summary

Hey! I built a site that is purely for festival organisers and festival attendees and I intend the market it to, you guessed it, festivals. The thing I'm unsure on is how would I price this? The reason I'm hesitant is because festival season is a couple of months out of the year but hosting costs for example don't have any time off. I ideally want to keep the monthly price affordable so not charging a years worth within 3/4 months but at the same time I don't want to be shooting myself in the foot by paying for somebody elses site out of my own pocket when they're not using it. Originally I had planned this to just be a free site but it has grown so much it no longer makes sense to keep it dedicated to just one festival so pricing wasn't really thought of during the build. Just to say the words as well, the site can be used out of festival season, it's just most users probably wont care when it's not festival season so I was mostly wondering if anybody else had a saas that also has 'seasonal' usage and how you navigate pricing?   submitted by   /u/RobHowdle [link]   [comments]
