Spent a weekend and then some (about 4.5 days total) building this after going through YC's list of Requests for Startups and getting stuck on the line "AI hasn't had its multiplayer moment yet." Had a collaborative app idea sitting in my head for a while, figured I'd just build it instead of thinking about it more. It's Freeform. You prompt, it builds a real sandboxed app with its own storage. The part I actually care about: other people can be in that same app with you live, editing the exact same current version at once, not a separate draft that gets merged in later (that's how Lovable's multiplayer works, forked drafts, accept to merge). No fork step here, you're just both in the same session. You can also throw in your own API keys or random stuff off the web, which leads to some weird and fun results. Asking for opinions here: does a shared live session (vs the fork-and-merge model other AI builders use) solve a real problem for anyone, or is this a fun toy that doesn't have legs past the novelty? I've only got a couple friends using it so far so I don't have a strong read yet.
