Original Summary
There are so many different bill trackers available from online shops like Etsy, Gumroad, and more that look really useful at first glance. But upon closer inspection you realize that many of them are full of bloated features and useless junk that most people never need to use. When it comes to tracking the bills you need to pay, there are only a few things you need to focus on, and all of those things are quite basic. Strip out all the useless junk and it becomes a simpler, more efficient process. You just need to focus on who you owe, what you owe, and when it’s due. That’s about it. Most bill trackers do the opposite. The reason most bill trackers do this is because filling a digital product with seemingly important options creates the impression that more is better. More tabs, more categories, more different views, more crap. It’s about as pointless as a Doordasher telling everyone that they’re the “CEO of an On-Demand Food Supply Service” or the “Director of Culinary Transit.” Just don’t. For the average, hard-working person paying bills every single month, the answer to effectively tracking your bills is not some fancy, over-specialized spreadsheet or app. It’s not useless bloat or sophisticated software. It CAN be a spreadsheet and it CAN be an app, but it actually just needs to be quite basic. That is why I built a streamlined bill tracker with no bloat or useless junk, a bill tracker that actually does exactly what it’s supposed to do, help you track your bills and stay on top of your payments. That’s it. It doesn’t do anything else because it’s not supposed to. It tracks who you owe, what you owe, and when it’s due, and it creates calendar reminders for each of your bills that you can upload straight to your calendar regardless of the system your calendar relies on: Apple macOS Microsoft Windows Linux ChromeOS Apple iOS Apple iPadOS Google Android LineageOS GrapheneOS Google Calendar Microsoft 365 Outlook Apple iCloud Calendar Yahoo Calendar Proton Calendar Zoho Calendar Mozilla Thunderbird eM Client Apple Mail watchOS (Apple Watch) Wear OS (Pixel/Galaxy Watch) Garmin OS It doesn’t connect to your bank or any financial institutions. It’s literally a Google Sheet built on App Script, and it runs on your computer. Your information sits in your Google Drive along with all of your other files that you have in there. And anytime that you need to track your bills, you simply open the sheet and pick back up where you left off. This keeps all your information in one place for you to handle, and not some random stranger in a bank. Have you ever genuinely forgot to pay a bill because life happens? With reminders sent to your calendar, you don’t have to worry about that. What about over-paying a bill? It may be nice to have a credit coming in the future, but it sucks when that over-payment wasn’t something you planned for, and now you’re out of pocket more than you expected. Keeping track of all the various bills you have to pay month to month bec
