I'm the developer of Lease Log, a small iPhone app for keeping one tenancy's records together. The design decision I'd like feedback on is where the paid feature belongs. Taking notes and keeping your photos stays free; the optional purchase is turning the completed record into a PDF. The workflow: At move-in, follow the room prompts and save dated photos and meter readings. Imported photos keep their original dates when available. During the tenancy, add repair requests, rent payments and communication notes alongside the lease. At move-out, do another walkthrough and, if useful, export the whole history as one report. Capture, records, widgets and manual backup are free. Complete PDF generation/export costs $4.99 once in the US; no subscription. Local prices vary. There's no account or developer upload service.
