Original Summary
I’m currently building an app in the health & fitness space , with the US as my initial target market. The slightly difficult part for me is that I’m not based in the US. I started out thinking most of my time & energy would go into building and validating the product. But as I’m working on the MVP, I’m realising that getting it in front of the right people is actually the harder problem. And there’s another layer to it that I’m not just entering a new market, I’m competing with products that have already been in the US for years and have built really strong distribution and audiences. They’ve already figured out how to reach their users, while I’m starting from almost zero. I know the obvious answers are content creation, partnerships, communities, etc., but I also want to know if there are newer channels, platforms, communities, or trends that are gaining traction in the US right now where people are already discovering products like this. Is there anything I might be overlooking that’s working particularly well at the moment? If you’ve tried building for the US market without an existing network there, or you’re based in the US and have a good understanding of how new products gain traction here, I’d genuinely love to hear your perspective. submitted by /u/shruti_s16 [link] [comments]
