A while ago I started building a self-hosted subscription platform for an AI model. The idea was to have my own independent platform instead of relying on a third-party creator platform . The important part is that this is designed to be your own platform : Your own website Your own custom domain Your own Stripe account Your own database Your own VPS/infrastructure Your own creator account and content It's not a shared marketplace where creators depend on my platform or my payment account. The idea is to give each creator the code needed to run their own independent subscription platform . I ended up building quite a bit more than I originally expected: Public creator profile Content feed Free / membership / private content tiers VIP subscriptions with payments going directly to the creator's own Stripe account Fan chat Custom content sales Content migration from another platform Custom domain support The stack is Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Stripe and Cloudflare R2, and it's designed to run on a regular VPS. The project is already functional, but currently it's only running locally. I haven't published the repository or deployed a public demo yet. Before spending more time polishing it, I wanted to see if there is actually interest in something like this. If people find it useful, I'm considering: Open-sourcing the code. Deploying a public demo. Writing documentation so anyone can self-host it. Offering deployment/setup help for people who don't want to manage the infrastructure themselves. The goal is basically: Instead of giving creators an account on my platform, give them the code to run their own platform. I'm particularly interested in hearing from other builders and creators: Would you actually use something like this?
