Hi Redditers and Devs. I built SSSDocs — a secure document-sharing SaaS I've been working on SSSDocs as a solo project, mainly because I wanted to solve a problem I kept seeing: sensitive documents are still often shared like ordinary files. So I decided to build my own document-sharing platform around encryption and controlled access. The stack Backend - Node.js - Express.js - EJS - Vanilla JavaScript Database & Storage - Supabase PostgreSQL - Supabase Storage - Row Level Security (RLS) Security - AES-256 client-side encryption - CryptoJS - Secure document links - 6-digit access codes - Expiring document access Integrations - Resend — email - Twilio — SMS/WhatsApp - Razorpay — payments - Multer — file uploads One of the parts I enjoyed most was implementing the client-side encryption flow, where the document is encrypted before being uploaded. It's still a work in progress and I'm learning a lot from actually putting it in front of people.
