Original Summary
Every free text-to-speech site gives you 500 characters and then asks for a card. That limit exists because each sentence costs them a server. So I put the model in the browser. Your text never leaves the page, there is no account, and there is nothing to count — paste a whole chapter if you want. The first visit downloads the voice once (~90 MB English, ~140 MB Spanish), after that it starts instantly and works offline. It also does word-by-word captions for vertical video: five styles, your own clip behind them, and it exports the MP4 with the captions burned in, plus .srt/.vtt/.ass. And it works backwards too — drop a video you already have and it transcribes it on your machine. Free, no watermark. Spanish voices (Spain and Latin America) and English. https://narra-voz.pages.dev/ Happy to answer anything about how it runs locally. submitted by /u/falcoonj_ [link] [comments]
