I built Reaper Monitor, a native activity monitor for Apple Silicon Macs. The goal is to make it easier to find which app or process is responsible for a spike, then keep watching it. You can search by port, PID, executable path, or argument; see an app's CPU, memory, and power use together with its helpers; and pin processes in the menu bar. One design choice I care about: Monitor keeps the last minute of process activity while it's running, even before you select a process. You don't have to predict which process will misbehave and start recording it first. It's $29 USD once, with a seven-day full trial and no card required.
