Original Summary
I got my first organic customer today. We already have 3 paying customers who came through my personal network. But this was the first person I didn’t know, didn’t sell to and wasn’t introduced to. It took about 4-5 months to happen. (No, even with AI it wasn’t easy) I’m building a SaaS that finds where potential buyers are talking about problems you solve, comparing options, or looking for recommendations, and helps you join those conversations before they’ve made a decision. We’ve been trying a bunch of things to get here. SEO, directories, building in public, posting on LinkedIn and Reddit, talking to users, changing the product approximately 700 times. A few days ago, the product found a relevant conversation on LinkedIn. I replied. Someone saw my reply, checked out what I was working on, and signed up. So basically, my product found its own first organic user. He also DMed me asking about a feature which was pretty cool. Some stuff are starting to work. Most of it is still way too early to call. But here’s for the little events that makes you be optimistic within this rollercoaster.. Anyway, one customer. Hoping he’ll continue after free trial. Tiny milestone. Made my day. Happy to answer any questions about the build or actions we took to make that first event happen. submitted by /u/LimitChemical6162 [link] [comments]
