Original Summary
Hey guys, Like many of you, some of my favorite internet memories were jumping onto browser arcade sites during study or work breaks just to play for 10 minutes. Most modern gaming portals today feel clunky and end up freezing up laptop tabs with heavy frameworks. Over the last few months as a side project, I've been building the platform behind Lopi Games ( https://lopigames.com ). Just to be clear: I didn't develop the individual games myself—they are curated HTML5 titles—but I built the entire web platform, player infrastructure, and performance engine from scratch. What I focused on while building the platform: - Keeping the codebase super lightweight (clean vanilla code, no bloated JS frameworks) so the portal boots up instantly and games run at a smooth 60 FPS even on budget laptops, Chromebooks, or phones. - Dark-mode, responsive arcade UI designed for quick navigation and zero lag. - Built-in cloud sync via Google & email accounts to save your XP, gamer rank, and favorite games across devices (or you can just play as a guest with zero friction). - A catalog of 100+ curated games across racing, driving, action, and puzzles (MR RACER and Drift Hunters are my personal favorites to test performance with). It's completely free to use. I'd genuinely love to hear your feedback from a platform perspective: How does the loading speed and responsiveness feel on your browser? Are there any features, filters, or specific games you'd like to see added to the platform? Cheers! Edit: I also built a lightweight Chrome Extension launcher for it so you can open games straight from your browser toolbar without keeping tabs open: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/lopi-games-%E2%80%93-play-free-on/coodgmjfonhifcjlhgncdgcicaafkhmc submitted by /u/Severe_Village_9154 [link] [comments]
