Original Summary
A quick update to my previous post: I’ve spent the last week speaking with a few interested buyers, and things moved much faster than I expected. I’ve now received multiple offers in the $10k–$12k range, including offers where the buyer is also interested in having me stay involved on the technical side during the transition. After thinking about it, I actually really like the idea of selling the project while staying involved and helping with the product and technical side. A few people suggested that approach in the comments and DMs, and I think it makes a lot of sense. I also want to say a big thank you to everyone who took the time to give me advice, share their experience, or message me. It genuinely helped me think through what to do with the project. I’m still speaking with interested buyers and figuring out the best fit. Also, sorry to anyone whose DM I haven’t replied to yet, there were way more messages than I expected. I’m slowly getting through them. I’m also happy to answer any questions about what I’ve learned throughout this process. Once the sale is completed, I’ll share a full breakdown of my experience, what worked, what didn’t, what I learned from talking to buyers, and how I approached the sale. I know there are probably quite a few people here who are or have been in a similar situation, so hopefully it can be useful to others as well. Thanks again everyone 🙏 Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/SideProject/s/K9G3w2ym64 submitted by /u/HungryShake2902 [link] [comments]
