Original Summary

Is it anywhere close to what you expected when you started? I’ll be honest, I thought I’d be much further ahead by now. When I started building my app, I had this idea that once it was live and looking decent, the downloads would start coming and I’d be flying. That definitely hasn’t been the reality 😂 Downloads are growing, but much slower than I expected, and getting paying subscribers is even harder. I’m starting to think this is more like a solid year of building, improving, posting, marketing, testing and learning before you start seeing proper traction. I used to look at posts from people saying they launched and instantly got thousands of downloads or started making serious money and think that was normal. Now I realise the slower grind is probably a lot more common than people talk about. I’m still enjoying it and I’m definitely not stopping. If anything, getting those first real users and subscribers means way more when you know how much work went into it. Would love to hear everyone else’s experience. Did your app grow quicker or slower than you expected? How long did it take before you saw real traction? And if you’re still in the grind like me, how long have you been at it? submitted by /u/Tall-Salary-5385 [link] [comments]
