Original Summary
I'm building Checkit in Bremen, Germany: a small departure board for an Android home-screen widget, a Windows desktop window and the browser. Pick a stop and see the minutes remaining, with delays and cancellations when the feed provides them. It uses Transitous/MOTIS. I checked sample stops in Berlin, Vienna, Zurich, Paris, London and New York, but coverage and real-time availability vary. The UI is currently German. It's free, open source, and has no account or ads. I'd love practical feedback: would you keep this on your home screen, and what would make it useful every day? Android live mode uses a persistent notification because background widget updates are limited by the OS.
