Original Summary

I've been building a social media scheduler called Postdom, but the more I've worked on it, the less I think the long-term product is actually a "scheduler." My thesis is: Today: Human > scheduling UI > social platforms Increasingly: Human > AI agent > scheduling infrastructure > social platforms The scheduler still needs a great UI because humans need to review, edit, approve, understand performance and occasionally work manually. But the execution layer increasingly becomes API/MCP/agent-driven. So we've built Postdom around both: Human interface Calendar, scheduling, analytics, brands, approvals, etc. Agent interface API + MCP + permissions + instructions so Claude/ChatGPT/agents can operate the same system. Rather than an AI caption button bolted onto an old social media suite. I'm now trying to work out whether this is genuinely a structural change in the category or whether I'm overestimating how quickly businesses will let agents run social workflows. I'd be interested in the SaaS crowd's take. Product is here if you want context: postdom.com Feel free to tear apart the thesis or the product. submitted by /u/widetide [link] [comments]
