I'm the designated trip planner in my family. Husband, three kids, my parents, my sister. I build the plan, everyone follows it. Which is great until you add up how much time goes into each trip: 20+ hours of tabs, reviews, maps, figuring out how we get from A to B, and double-checking that the place I picked is actually open on a Tuesday. Then the night before, I'm still making the packing list. I tried doing it with ChatGPT. Good for ideas, but I kept getting restaurants that were closed that day, days that were way too packed for a 6-year-old, and a wall of text I couldn't actually follow once we were there. I spent about as long fixing the plan as I would have making it myself. So I built TripBaddie. You answer a few questions (where, when, who's coming, budget, what you're into, dietary stuff) and it builds a day-by-day plan with real named places and times. Things I cared about: The logistics, not just the fun stuff. Travel time between stops, how you're getting around, and which things need booking ahead, shown right on the stop they belong to. Opening hours checked against your dates. Anything that doesn't line up gets flagged. You also get suggestions on what to skip if you fall behind, plus alternatives if something doesn't appeal. A booking manager. Every bookable item from the plan lands in one list where you track what's booked, what's left and what it's costing you. You can also save confirmation numbers and details so they're not buried in your email. In-trip mode. Once you're there, it shows you the day you're on. If the morning runs long (hi, kids), tell it and it reworks the rest of the day around where you actually are. A packing list built from the actual plan. It uses the weather for when you're going and what you're doing, so you get specifics like "life jackets for the kids for the kayak day" instead of "4 tops." Counts are per adult or per kid. A short "why this plan works" for every day , so you can see the reasoning and not just a list "Know before you go" tips specific to your trip (for Disney, it's things like when the dining reservation window opens) A PDF you can pull up on your phone when you have no signal You can see your full plan without making an account. There are also finished sample trips (Iceland Ring Road, Nashville bachelorette, Italy for first-timers, Grand Canyon with kids) if you just want to see what it spits out.
