Original Summary

I'm feeling the lowest I've felt since forever, I feel like I've tinkered with a lot of things to help build momentum for my saas. Tried so many GTM strategies. Out of desperation I even hired a GTM person only to be terribly disappointed and my previous individual efforts were more useful. I've spent the past 2 years going to events, conferences, networking everything, built endless contracts only to not close MOST deals. Even spent money on traveling in hopes to close deals, got super close but nothing. I've tinkered with ads. Tinkered with social media. I've done outreach. This has gotten me some clients but not to the point where its really scalable. I tried waiting lists before building the product. Nope. I've hired a team to help me try different strategies. They are 100 times slower than me. I mean I could go on and on about everything I tried but I don't want to bloat this post. I've gotten advisors, even big names (thankfully I refused to give equity and paid by hr so just a financial loss). Only thing I haven't tried yet is bringing other creators to do UGC. I've pivoted and rebuilt the product 3 times. Last attempt I tried to get clients even before building the product in hopes it would be a better outcome. So far all my efforts have been B2B (selling to CTO and tech exec, small business owners etc), my last resort is to pivot into becoming a developer product, so same product but different ICP. People with a successful SaaS, is GTM just about figuring out the right strategy with these traditional channels (ie outreach, ads, social media) or is there something I don't know about. submitted by /u/HummingBirdMg [link] [comments]
