so i've been dming random founders on here and twitter, mostly people whose stuff didn't work out or they pivoted, just curious about what actually happened behind the scenes and like... this one thing keeps coming up over and over. people get MONTHS of "oh this is such a good idea" from friends, from their cofounder's cousin, whoever, and it does nothing. doesn't move anything in their head at all then some total stranger throws them $5 for it and suddenly they're like ok this is real now one guy put it kind of perfectly, said it was his "first dollar on the internet" and that hit him harder than half a year of people cheering him on not sure if this is like a universal founder thing or i just happened to talk to a few people who felt this way. anyone else had that exact moment where it clicked because of money and not compliments?   submitted by   /u/Soggy-Stand3502 [link]   [comments]
