Original Summary
I spent three months creating a learning platform that I thought was perfect. I had the design, the lessons and the plan.. When I gave it to users nothing really changed. They passed the tests. They didn't learn anything. I realized I was looking at the things. I was checking how many people finished each section of seeing if they remembered what they learned 48 hours later. I was focused on being right not on being good. If you are making EdTech or any kind of software that teaches skills stop looking at scores. Start looking at how fast people answer and how hard the question was. If someone answers a question quickly they probably just remembered the answer. If they take time but get it right they really understood what they were doing. That is the difference, between a product that feels nice and a product that actually helps. Build for how people think not for numbers that look good. submitted by /u/Automatic_Major_4887 [link] [comments]
