Hihi - creator of AppMunchies here. I built it to solve a problem I had: How do I distribute my apps effectively to an audience that consumes videos on social media? Many of my friends had the same problem. The idea is simple: You upload a demo on appmunchies.com , and I’ll share it on our TikTok, YT, and Instagram channels. It’s free distribution for you and only requires a demo video. Credits and IP stay with you, and I link back to your GitHub, profile, website, and tag you as a collaborator if you like. I’ll also enhance your demo for social media with captions, better cuts, and music (totally optional). If you have a project to share: edgy, just for you, for your kid, taking AI for a first spin, first customers, a commercial app, a game you built - this is for you. (I do review every video before upload, FYI) I appreciate many of you who already shared your projects pre-launch - amazing feeling getting the first videos live. Some Milestones to share: 8/19 - First video on AppMunchies YouTube channel 9/9 - First video on Youtube crosses 100+ views; First video on TikTok 9/14 - Recorded first "Maker" video with Evan Crawley, creator of Decimen QR transfer app; go live next week 9/15 - First video crossing 500 views on TikTok, 30+ likes 9/16 - First video about to cross 500 views on YouTube 9/17 - open to everyone If you want to share your munchie: Go to appmunchies.com/submit . Upload takes 2 min and is completely free. Videos shot in 9:16 (vertical phone format) do 2-3x better on social. So if you can, record your demo in that format. But horizontal shots are fine too. 20 - 40s work best, 1 min max. Showing your face and some basic voice over works wonders. People like people. This is the first project of this scale I've done in a while, so I appreciate feedback.
