My side project for many years has been a mealplanner that works just like I want it to. - It needs to have MY meals, not some random ones forced on me, but my usuals. - I want to plan a week ahead, so drag and drop from recepie book to a weekly view was a must and core idea. - I wanted it to generate a grocery list for me and be smart about my multi-language recepies. And now it can combine ”500g Cheese” and ”200g queso” into ”700g Cheese”! This was the most important and unique feature I could not find elsewhere. After working on this for years as a Laravel project, I recently switched over to Lovable (preserving some of my backend logic and databased on structure). And the switch has been absolutely amazin. for a single fee I now have hosting and an AI powered platform I can tell to set things up like I wanted. What used to hold me back was not remembering how to SSH to my server, not having Laravel Forge access anymore, outdated code ase after not touching it for a few months. All of this is now so much easier and faster. But it is not all roses, I am at a stace now where thd core features work, but I am finding more and more bugs and edge cases. But slowly it is getting better. Also, Lovable is so credit hungry that I do most of the coding locally with Claude or myself and then push it to github.
