Original Summary

The site: 256x256 shared canvas, one dollar a pixel, anyone can paint over anyone. Refuse to pay and you can argue with an AI instead; win and you get a shielded pixel or a certificate for keeping your money. What I actually learned building it: I shipped it months ago and never told anyone, so it has had 38 visitors and zero sales. The product wasn't the bottleneck, distribution was, and I kept building features instead. Today I'm doing the part I avoided. One real bug I found only last week: clicking a cell never showed you which pixel you'd picked, so buyers were asked to pay without seeing what they were buying. Four people won the AI haggle and none of them bought. That may be why. https://howaboutadollar.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=launch&utm_content=sideproject Stack: Next.js, Supabase, Stripe, Claude.
