built this because my 2 kids kept attacking my laptop and wrecking my work. one shortcut swallows all keyboard/trackpad input before it hits any app, but the screen stays looking exactly how you left it (slack, half-typed message, whatever) — kids just get calm light to play with on top. exit is a deliberate 3-second hold. right now its mac only. windows maybe if there's interest. fun part was coming up with "scenes". tried to do scenes that are not super stimulating but also fun for the kids. there were (and still are) a bunch of experimental scenes that I have floating in my head but I couldn't get to work the way I wanted, so I might release those as I get around to them. kiddyproof.app   submitted by   /u/boaconscriptor [link]   [comments]
