I’ve been working on a project called Web Analyser for the past few months. It started as a way to get a better overall picture of a website’s technical health instead of using several separate tools for different checks. It now analyzes websites across accessibility, performance, SEO, security, privacy, frontend health, technologies, DNS and a number of other areas. It can crawl multiple pages and run the scans manually or continuously on a schedule. While developing it, I’ve been testing it against real websites, and that’s actually been one of the most useful parts of building the product. Real sites produce combinations of problems and edge cases that are difficult to reproduce with test projects.
