Have been experimenting with building our own automation tool at my company - it’s free and local, just needs Claude Code or Codex installed to run. It figures out a workflow by letting an AI agent do it once, then writes it into Python code and tests it for you. Because everything is code, it’s very flexible and can integrate with almost any service that allows you to, and if not, run it in an automated browser (so we can interact with websites where it’s normally quite tricky). It also adds AI steps where needed - such as classifying or analysing unstructured information. The initial purpose was to build something that super easy to just pick up for anyone. Still some improvement potential and the quality depends a bit on what AI model we use, but it can basically take a prompt and have a ready to use automation in much less than an hour. It's been super useful to us but definitely still runs into some snags here and there so thought the best way to get feedback, input and improve it for us too was to make it available to more people. It's still a bit experimental, but we are using it for things that save each of us several hours peer week.
