Original Summary

So I have had this problem for a while where I’ll download some productivity app, spend like 30-40 mins making the perfect plan and then completely forget about it 3 days later :sob: And once I miss a few days I just don’t wanna open the app anymore because it feels like I already failed and now I have to start everything again. Me and a few friends were annoyed by this so we ended up making something called TheGameYou. It’s basically turning your goals into a game. You tell it something you wanna do, like get fit, study for something, build a side project, learn something etc,and it breaks it down into smaller quests so you don’t have to figure out everything yourself and you have something to just follow as a routine. There’s also an AI coach that keeps track of what you’re doing and adapts to you. You can basically choose whether you want it to be more like really strict or a little bit lenient The thing we cared about most though was what happens when you inevitably fall off. If you miss a few days, it doesn’t go "STREAK LOST" and make you feel like you screwed everything up. It will adjust the plan and lets you continue from where you were and will try to make up for the days you missed without the guilt trip Because honestly, I feel like most apps are really good at helping you plan the perfect week, but not so good at helping you when you have a shitty week. We’re still pretty early with it, so right now we’re giving 50 people 3 months of Pro for free. Mostly just want people to actually use it and tell us what’s good/bad/missing/ or needs improvement If anyone wants to try it just comment and I’ll send you the link :) submitted by /u/wavepro3 [link] [comments]
